Revision of the National Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP) & drafting of automotive industry bill.Working with a team of 5 consultants in the strategy and customer solutions unit, the project involved the following: •Review of the global and local mega trends shaping the auto industry and highlighted implications for Nigeria •Assessment of the current state the Nigerian automotive sector across five pillars, namely; governance, people and capabilitysystems and technology, performance management, and data and information •Benchmarking of the current state assessment of the Nigerian automotive sector against global best practice •Evaluated the impact and opportunities presented by AfCFTA •Redefined the goals, strategic objectives and timelines for its attainment •Defined the levers required to drive the attainment of the defined goals and targets •Facilitated variousstakeholders’ sessions to obtain input and buy-in for the revised automotive development plan •Developed an implementation plan that highlighted the activities, responsibilities and timelines for accelerating the initiativesnecessary for attainment of the NAIDP’s goals and targets in line with global best practice. Managing a team of 4 consultants in the public sector consulting unit, the team was managed along the following work-streams: • Conducting an assessment of 160 reforms across 15clusters the Nigerian economy. • Developing a robust reform catalog of the reforms • Deploying a survey of over 1000 MSMEs and MDAs to assess the impact of the reforms between 2017to 2020 • Conducting an economic impact assessment to quantify the direct, indirect and induced impacts of the reforms on GDP, job creation and public revenue • Documenting the key learnings from the interviews and highlighted strategies to improve the ease of doing environment in Nigeria.
