The boundary conditions for the problem were set by the constraints such as meeting order deadlines, adherence to the machine capacity, minimizing changeovers and observing inventory policy. The company had been undertaking the scheduling based on the floor manager's experience which at times led to unavailability of one of the key process components leading to loss of capacity. The solution aligned the production schedule by meeting the constraints and uniformly distributed the production to avoid changeovers as much as possible

The assignment involved the valuation of the target, highlighting key points for the negotiation, designing the capital structuring of the new company with adherence to the local regulations and cash flow analysis for debt repayment
- A detailed merger analysis was undertaken for the Canadian Oil Drilling Instrument Company to determine the accretion/dilution impact on EPS for various target companies. It involved forecasting pro-forma financials for the merged company after taking into consideration various synergies and valuing the company based on various approaches such as Relative Valuation, Valuation based on the recent transaction in the same space and DCF. It also included sensitivity analysis of accretion/dilution for various factors such as synergies, EBITDA etc.
