Catalysed an IP mindset and monetization approach that grew the portfolio from zero to US$150 Mn per year in IP licensing revenue. This needed continuous enablement of clients and colleagues to appreciate and adopt solutions that were configurable rather than "start from scratch". Adjusting for "fit gap", bypass of traditional development outsourcing preferences, importance of client contextual parameters such as user profiles, business alignment and realized benefits were critical. Some of the bleeding edge technologies for image recognition through machine learning, developing insights from enterprise and third party data, operations streamlining for enterprise Cloud services were noteworthy successes but had extensive challenges through the journey to final success. Some of the IP led innovations were alongside partners, a few were acquired, some were spectacular failures but the learnings were continuously incorporated in a program that cleared Legal, Finance and Audit scrutiny. Responsibilities included engineering, product management, IP clearance and business development across the organization as well as handholding execution partners and client teams for solution go live and achieve business value for the clients. Then voluntarily took up a new role to incubate Infrastructure Services Consulting which has grown from zero to US$50 Mn revenue per year in advisory services, with appreciative CxO level endorsements from clients globally. Identifying the right issues and problems to address, assessing the client landscape for deterrents and enablers, then continuously coaching and adjusting based on emerging realities were all key activities in the journey.
