Bio Summary

John is a dynamic change manager with over 25 years of managing transformation and Prince2 change projects in different cultures and commercial environments, often leading teams of SMEs on a suite of transformation projects from end-to-end. John started his change career in 1990, joining PowerGen before they were privatised, to trade their portfolio of 16 power stations, rising up to become their senior trader by 1995, managing 1/3rd of the UK power station capacity with a daily target of £6 million. Then, he was headhunted to be a retail energy trading manager for Powercor Australia, but when they were privatised 9 months later, he was asked to help restructure two major Government utilities, transform and privatise the component 20+ companies by the Victorian Government, for $30billion up to 2000. Subsequently, he led, managed or supported a variety of operational, transformation projects for energy companies and Regulators around Australia. Since returning to the UK in 2002, he has worked in several countries (China, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Oman, Ireland) working for various Consultancies, setting up PMOs and leading teams of engineers etc. on Business Process Reengineering /reform projects; John is proficient at ensuring that all projects are well-scoped to minimise risks, the required IT changes etc. are planned & executed with staff and actually embedded in the business. John has 3 degrees, is Prince2-certified, a partly-qualified accountant, available immediately to #wfh or travel as required
