Turnaround of the portfolio company Nuovi Investimenti (Investment bank, €50-60bn Gross Turnover, High Frequency Trading & Wealth Management): – Restored a profitable P&L by halving costs and settling 90% of claims, while launching new businesses. – Revamped the image of the company as trusted and well-reputed, while getting several awards for the outstanding performance of newly launched alternative funds, raising over €200m on niche strategies. – Revamped the low latency trading and market making businesses, widening the market venues scope, and implementing a high-performance IT infrastructure. – Adoption of a 3-levels ERM system (Line/Operating, Risk Function, and Internal Audit). – Oversight the Risk Register update. – Re-definition of ERM policies and tools, Business Continuity Plan, Disaster Recovery, and Insurance Policies. – Review of Outsourcing agreements in compliance with ERM. – Management and liquidation of certain legal risks. – Management of the exit process from the investment (break up).

Project Description:
Turnaround and business development of the portfolio company Drive Service (Fleet Management Services): - majority take over; - turnaround planning & monitoring; - setup of the buy&build strategy, subsequent planning, execution & monitoring; - synergy estimation, in a merger context. I also supported the CEO of Drive Service in the following activities: - drafting, monitoring and updating of business plans; - acquisition and integration of the first Italian competitor (Help Company); - launch of an innovative B2C fleet management service (Easydriver) in Italy and subsequently in Spain; - merger of Drive Service with the Cobra Automotive Technologies Group, for the development of a B2C automotive services platform based on telemetry and satellite tracking systems. Pre-merger synergy estimation and post-merger integration planning and monitoring. Finally, management of the sale of the combined entity Cobra+Drive Service (now Vodafone Automotive Italia) to Vodafone through a takeover bid.
