VP Major Projects at McKinsey & Company

United Arab Emirates

Bio Summary

I am a degreed Civil Engineer with 41 years of industry experience that brings 21 years working in the General Contractors role, 12 years in the Owner/Developers role and 8 years working for McKinsey and Company as Vice President of Capital Projects. I have worked across the globe in several geographies which collectively have broadened my perspective on how cultural variations and nuances impact projects. Applying the lessons learned from the career roles and geographies allows me to bring a perspective to client projects regardless of where that may be in it's project life cycle.

I have worked on assets from super tall high-rise projects in China and India to oil refineries in Oman, Nigeria and Kazakhstan. Other projects have been development of metro rails in Riyadh KSA, Toronto CA and a rail project in West Guinea for a mining project. Projects in the last decade have been predominantly on strategy, turnaround, governance and reorganization. Applying the lessons learned from the various projects in my career has been the core of my value proposition to the client engagements.

I enjoy the opportunity to provide mentoring to project teams, as well I have served as an adjunct professor of Civil Engineering, a very rewarding experience,an opportunity to give back, and hopefully inspire the next graduating class to explore outside the box.
