• Senior Executive responsible for a portfolio of three brands (Pearle Vision, Target Optical and Sears
Optical) representing $950M in revenue. Direct reporting relationship to Luxottica CEO.
Additionally, responsible for the Canadian operations team. Responsible for 4500+ employees.
• Member of 5-person Executive Council responsible for overall management of Luxottica Retail.
Responsibilities included developing strategic plans, annual financial & operating plans, capital
allocation, culture and talent development.
• Grew total sales +10% over two years while increasing profit margin by over 100 bps.
Senior Vice President and General Manager (2008 – 2010)
• Responsible for the Pearle Vision business representing $450M in system-wide revenue, 650 stores,
and 1300+ employees. As General Manager, responsibilities included all aspects of the business—
customer experience, marketing, store operations, product, inventory, financial analysis/planning,
franchise development, franchisee supply chain and franchisee relations.
• Championed a dramatic change in the business strategy moving from corporate store ownership to a growth strategy behind franchising.
• Entered the Canadian market with franchising, creating the required legal and regulatory filings.
• Improved operating profit by +60 bps over three-year period.
Vice President – Marketing (1998 – 2007)
• Overall leader of Marketing for Luxottica Retail for a ten-year period. Responsible for all aspects of
national and local marketing—advertising, media, digital, and customer retention.
• Responsible for a $200M marketing budget across five retail brands, 50+ marketing Associates and
multiple outside agencies.
• Integrated multiple acquisitions into Luxottica Retail—Ray Ban, Oakley, Sunglass Hut, Pearle Vision,
Target Optical, Sears Optical and Detroit Optical Company.
• Developed comprehensive marketing plans including national advertising campaigns.
• Managed contact lens e-commerce sites, significantly growing the business each year.
