Practice Area Profile

The Operations (OPS) practice area is one of BCG's largest practice areas. We serve six broad topics: Services and Support Operations, incl. Corporate Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Procurement, End-to-End Operations and Cost Excellence, Design Engineer and Build, Change Management. We help companies think beyond the limits of their traditional business models, choose where and how they should add value, and reorganize to defend themselves against new threats and seize new opportunities.

What You'll Do

We are looking for a Consultant or Project Leader to join our Corporate Operations team, supporting our key clients to uplift the value contribution of their corporate center via customer-centricity & corporate synergies. In boom cycles, we support our clients to strive through long-lasting operational improvements and greater customer centricity in their processes to boost their business performance. In bust cycles or economic difficult times, we support our clients to quickly cope with disruption through cash buffers and quick-win savings to keep the business stable and running flexibly.

As our new Consultant or Project Leader, you will advise our clients in the following situations:

As strategy inaugurator: To innovate the corporate operating model by translating strategy into effective and efficient structures and processes.
As top-line booster: To drive product innovation and sales growth by aligning business/operating models with strategic priorities.
As bottom-line cultivator: To identify non-value-adding spend and help our clients to stay competitive and flexible.
As process streamliner: To optimize processes and nervous systems of organizations to ensure the operating model thrives.
As execution manager: To manage transformations holistically and actively ensure tangible results.

BCG is looking for experienced young professionals to join our team. As a member of our consulting team, you’ll work alongside some of the world’s top minds on cases that reshape business, government, and society.

We expect a strong consulting skillset or adaptability to learn: creative and hypothesis-led problem solving, framing and communicating complex ideas, thinking strategically, excellent numerical skills, a

Ability to demonstrate leadership, proactivity, productivity, valuable contribution to a team, personal learning, evidence of outperforming peers and exceptional drive and commitment.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

· 4-6+ years of consulting experience in industry or in Consulting firms focusing on transformation, operation model design, operational excellence and cost reduction topics

· Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)

· Fluency in English and preferably also in German

· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment

· Prior topic related experience, for example in: Cost reductions, Operating Model Design, Shared Services, Process Optimization, End-to-end Transformations, Operational Excellence
