Within PA the Managing Consultant (MC) role represents a top tier appointment in the organisation, with MCs typically serving as our business development, thought and team leaders. With one foot in the operation, one foot in the strategic and a head for business and proposition development, this role is highly varied and calls for someone who is autonomous and a self-starter.

Our Insurance team help our clients transform their operations, embrace digital, omni-channel solutions for customers, create new products faster and support them to make use of data and analytics – while ensuring they are compliant and responsible to the environment and society.

Our team have helped health and general insurers reimagine the experience they deliver for customers, allowing them faster and simpler access to care and claims payments.

They have supported specialty insurers respond to the regulation of cyber products, giving customers greater certainty and confidence in a dangerous world; as well as helping numerous clients embrace digital technology, fintech partnerships and world leading, AI enabled data and analytics.

As an Insurance Transformation specialist you will help to set vision, ambition and strategy for the customer, reimagine the target customer experience, embrace organizational agility at scale and transform ways of working, find the right tools to drive efficiency and become truly customer-centric.

Qualifications To rise to the challenge this Insurance Transformation Consultant role brings, you should be experienced in working within major change programmes around either operating model, operations improvement, agile and digital. You will have background of working in General Insurance (personal, commercial or specialty lines), Life & Pensions or Health Insurance either in house or, ideally, within a Consulting environment.

You will also have exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with C-suite executives and leading multiskilled teams. You will also have an understanding of methodologies such as Agile PM, PRINCE2, business design, digital technologies and automation.

You will be responsible for the following duties:

Developing strategic client relationships, working at the senior levels to sell value adding consulting assignment

Leading and delivering large scale and complex projects – managing project teams (2-10 people) being actively involved and taking ownership of delivery

Developing commercially viable consulting market offerings

Working with PA’s Go-To-Market and other specialist teams to develop propositions, develop existing client accounts and build new accounts

Working within mixed consulting and client teams, planning, managing and delivering work
