Practice Area Senior Manager - Risk & Compliance

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As the Senior Manager in the Risk & Compliance Practice (R&C) you will work closely with the Global Practice Management Senior Director and R&C Leadership Team to drive Practice initiatives, business operations, annual plan, and Practice events. This role will be an integral and influential contributor to the development and growth of the Risk & Compliance Practice. When stepping into this role, your main responsibilities will be:

Act as a key thought partner and innovation driver to the Global Practice Management Senior Director

Partner closely with the Regional Practice Leader in Europe and in AP to drive business operations and people priorities, including the annual plan

Be the first point of contact for BCGers in Europe and AP helping colleagues navigate the R&C network

Drive internal priority projects for the Practice

Support preparation and execution of internal global and regional meetings and events (e.g. Global Practice Area Meeting, virtual townhalls)

Drive innovation of our business operations processes and infrastructure, staying on-top of best practices at BCG

Drive the continued refinement of our support offering in the R&C Practice, in line with our mission to create a sense of belonging to R&C for our affiliates, and to nurture excitement about and interest in R&C across the firm

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Self-starting with a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial drive, service mentality and ability to work both autonomously and in a multinational team

Operating effectively in a matrix organization and fast-paced environment where way forward may be unclear – you drive for clarity

Complex project management with the ability to deliver intellectually rigorous output, driving on-time deliverables as well as anticipating and managing risks

Managing senior stakeholders and building consensus while being a strong team player across seniority levels – with a strong presence and maturity

Juggling multiple tasks autonomously and in parallel, prioritizing effectively and proactively seeking input and guidance as needed

Solving problems through analytical, structured thinking and sound judgement, identifying workarounds as needed

Acting as the PA representative in the R&C community, building your network with other Senior Managers and learning from best practices

Working well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

8 - 10 years of work experience

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred

Excellent project management and planning skills

Demonstrated independence in internal/external interactions and decision-taking

Excellent written and verbal communication in English

Strong interpersonal skills (including the ability to engage effectively and confidently with senior audiences and audiences of different cultural backgrounds)

Proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel + virtual collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack etc.

Ability to travel internationally, related to the execution of internal events

YOU'LL WORK WITH

Your key stakeholders in this role are the Global Practice Management Senior Director, Global Practice Area Regional Leaders, Global Practice People Leader, Country Leads as well as the broader R&C leadership team. You will be working alongside a broader R&C Management and Operations team of PA Senior Coordinators, Marketing and Knowledge Team (and across other Practice Areas) and colleagues in adjacent BCG functions like Finance and Meetings & Events etc.
