WHAT YOU'LL DO

We are seeking a strong candidate with experience and passion to work in the Retail Banking domain in a client facing role supporting BCG Gamma’s Retail Banking Excellence Benchmarking (REBEX) programme, which comprises a portfolio of data insights solutions for Financial Institutions. In this role, you will join as a Solution Delivery Manager and will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the data solutions included in the REBEX product suite, including benchmarking and other data-based insight products, mainly to the EMESA client base (Europe, LATAM and Africa), and supporting other regions as needed.

You will leverage both internal and external resources including your own expertise and experience in retail banking and data analytics to further develop and enhance our programme and affiliated data products. The ideal candidate has experience in more than one retail banking functional area, including front office, product and segment management, finance, operations, digital channels, IT, revenue optimisaton and/or cost optimisation obtained either through working at a retail bank or at a consulting company. The Solution Delivery Manager will be responsible for the management of collecting, validating, analyzing, and generating reporting on data from clients and leading client projects where the data and business analysis are critical to offer the best results to our clients. This will require frequent contacts with our clients – we estimate about 70% of the workload being client facing.

He/she will lead efforts in filtering, synthesizing, packaging, and delivering client data into meaningful insights. Additionally, the role will require driving insights from the peer data, transactional data and from the wider market. The candidate will also work closely with the REBEX Directors in Europe to support commercial activity including writing of proposals, and efforts around new client acquisition, client engagement and lead our client delivery efforts in the region.

Delivering client facing data-based programmes in retail banking - from the kick-off meeting to the customization of the final give back document, including client interactions, data gathering, data validation, insight generation and deliverable preparation: Project managing the delivery of REBEX’s programmes to ensure a smooth, on-time process with the highest quality. Managing client relationships during delivery phase as well liaising with more senior members of the REBEX team and consulting staff. Working with other team members to validate client data, and authenticate data submissions alongside clients Leading efforts in cleansing, analyzing, and generating reporting on client benchmarking data Assume a leadership role in developing the methodology, content, and the way we deliver it to clients – in alignment with the global REBEX methodology Present results of the benchmark to clients in senior meetings Supporting Peer Group development: Provide support for new business development activities during the recruiting of participants and launching new products Enriching casework and proposals with specialist insights from the REBEX initiative Scoping, executing and delivering insights for case teams Partnering with consulting teams to deliver original analyses and insights Lead teams: Advises, mentors and trains junior team members Designs the on-boarding schedule and provides day-to-day apprenticeship and coaching for new team members with guidance from the global REBEX team Line manage a team of analysts with responsibility for coaching, developing and improving the team’s individual and collective performance Involved in recruiting process of junior team members

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Bachelors' or Master's degree with demonstrated high academic achievement, preferably in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, mathematics or related fields At least 9-10+ years of relevant industry experience (or 5 of strategic consulting within Retail Banking). Candidates with less experience could be also considered in specific circumstances Experience in more than one retail banking functional area, including the following: front office, product and segment management, finance, operations, digital channels and IT, obtained either through working at a retail bank or at a consulting company and deep experience in some of these fields Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills, advanced knowledge of excel, and medium knowledge of SQL and/or Python will be a plus Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with all levels of seniority and with clients. Being ready to manage contacting senior client representatives for the benchmark shortly after joining Strong project management skills; ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization Experience in presenting complex analysis and findings to senior management Very good work ethic and service mentality Strong, proven analytical and conceptual capabilities Independent worker, ability to tolerate ambiguity, self-motivated Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks in parallel Ability to build and maintain a strong industry network Collaborative team player Ability to maintain discretion when needed Proficiency in written and spoken English Additional language skills are of advantage, especially German, French, Spanish, Italian and / or Portuguese
