Job Description Data & Analytics is one of four key pillars to the Solutions Team at L.E.K. Consulting, alongside Market Insights, Information & Research Center and Knowledge Management. The Solutions team works together to support and enable our consulting team members to generate best in class insights for our clients.

L.E.K.'s Data & Analytics function is focused on creating and deploying best-in-class capabilities to drive business results for our clients. The team is comprised of data scientists, technical business analytics consultants, and product managers who work together to solve some of the most challenging business problems our clients have. We drive the full analytics life cycle on client engagements: scoping and understanding business challenges, developing and maintaining robust data assets, creating and running innovative analytical techniques, generating compelling visualizations to communicate the findings / recommendations. We build, develop, and maintain innovative tools and applications for use across projects and for specific clients. We coach, mentor and train colleagues from across the business, on everything from what types of commercial problems analytical techniques can help solve to in-depth technical training for specific types of analysis.

The Advanced Analytics Associate Consultant is a critical member of L.E.K.'s rapidly growing Data & Analytics team. The Advanced Analytics Associate Consultant will help support complex analytical work on client engagements, develop and enhance innovative analytical tools and products, develop and commercialize analytical approaches for client engagements, and support training, mentoring and coaching technical and non-technical colleagues.

Healthcare sector focus

All Advanced Analytics Associate Consultants are aligned to one of L.E.K.’s 4 primary sectors (Healthcare, Consumer, Industrials, and TMT) The Healthcare focused Data & Analytics Associate Consultant will spend ~80% of their time working with clients across our core Healthcare Practices (Pharma, Diagnostics & Tools, Pharma Services, Medtech, Healthcare Supply Chain, Healthcare IT, Payers, Providers) The Healthcare focused Data & Analytics Associate Consultant will spend the other ~20% of their time working with clients across L.E.K.’s other sectors (Consumer, Industrials, and TMT)

Responsibilities

Client engagements: Provide analytical support to Healthcare project teams; this spans the entire lifecycle from upfront guidance through project completion, and can include coaching / mentoring colleagues, as well as running the analytical components of the project Advise Healthcare project teams on analytical techniques, tools, and products that would be beneficial to use given the scope and goals of the project Debrief project teams to capture the analytical approaches and work that was done during the client engagement, and capture any IP that is valuable to the Healthcare sector more broadly

Develop analytical tools, approaches, and proprietary data assets: Create Healthcare focused analytical tools, service lines and proprietary data assets, by collaborating with a variety of key stakeholders including Healthcare sector leadership, our Innovation, Information Research Center (IRC), Market Insights (MI), and Knowledge Management (KM) teams Serve as a technical expert and thought leader in developing new Healthcare focused commercial offerings that require / benefit from advanced analytics skills or capabilities Capture and incorporate user feedback to continuously improve and enhance the products tools, service lines and proprietary data assets we offer

Capability development Stay up to date on best-in-class software, tools, and techniques to ensure that we are able to provide clients with best-in-class solutions Develop and maintain a high level of proficiency with our current software toolkit / tech stack, as well as with analytical techniques Help develop and execute on the team’s technical roadmap across a variety of areas (e.g., database development / maintenance, standing up cloud infrastructure, developing visualization capabilities, etc.) Support training and upskilling of staff on relevant software, tools and techniques

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience 2+ years of experience in analytics, with the majority of the time focused on business / commercial applications Experience working in, or focused on, the healthcare sector Knowledgeable about L.E.K.’s primary Healthcare practices (Healthcare Services, Providers, Payers, Pharma, Medtech) Analytical problem solver with demonstrated ability to: Work in a project based environment across a variety of project types, lengths, structures; often managing a variety of projects simultaneously Work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams Coach, mentor and teach others on highly technical skills Strong understanding of business strategy / commercial issues Mastery of Alteryx and Tableau, as well as scripting languages (Python, R, etc.); additional software / scripting skills are a plus (e.g., Power BI) Experience in Strategic Consulting is a plus
