They play an integral role in Sales, Account Management & Client Delivery, and Governance reporting directly to a Business Unit / Business Line Partner and Market Leader.

As a key driver in the sales of new business and origination of new revenue, MDs join our firm with an ability to leverage their rich network of connections that translate into new clients and sales for our firm. They also possess the ability to further that network to deepen existing relationships while cultivating new ones.

Our AI, Data & Quantitative Business Line operates globally, worldwide and seamlessly through 6 Centers of Excellence based in the US, Canada, France, UK / Ireland, Netherlands / Belgium, Dubai and Hong Kong, to make AI valuable and accessible for our clients and for Sia Partners management consultants. Our team of 250 Data experts (80% data scientists, actuaries and ML Ops, 15% Data Engineers and DevOps Engineers) develop new AI algorithms to support our clients in their technological transformation to forecast needs, optimize productivity, improve data quality, assist in decision-making, and improve customer knowledge.

We help our clients get the most value out of their data, on their own platform, using best-in class AI techniques. We deliver services from strategy, AI roadmap definition, organization set up, proof of concept realization, to product industrialization. We increase our value-added and accelerate delivery with our pre-built packages from our R&D Labs.

We developed heka.core, a proprietary DevSecOps platform that hosts our solutions, enabling code best practices and the security of our applications. Depending on the use case, our clients can use heka.core directly or make it interop with their own platform.

We build AI-powered heka.ai SaaS solutions to cover different use cases, for which AI provides an answer to our client’s needs.

As a Managing Director, you will support Sia Partners growth by building new business and/or expanding current business development, sales, account management and providing Data Science expertise. You will be working together with a highly motivated team of Directors and Partners all over the world as well as consultants across the US.

Develop the US Data Science Center of Excellence with a focus on sales and people management Lead sales at existing clients but also develop sales with new clients Lead Commercial proposals Lead business delivery and team management at new and existing clients Attain both sales and delivery targets Provide technical leadership to a team of data science, data engineers and data strategists Provide industry guidance, strategies and implementation of best practices Recruit new talents with the support of Talent Acquisition and develop our Center of Excellence’s team to reach the expectations of a rapidly growing Business Line Build and lead our team on missions but also in commercial endeavors Contribute to support or lead internal projects heka.ai, our accelerator for Data Science projects Sales, Business Development, and Intellectual Property

Act in a leading role in sales and intellectual property development Lead business development efforts and prospecting conversations, representing Sia’s value proposition in relevant contexts Leverage existing network and foster new relationships to originate new sales for the firm Establish oneself as a client partner across multiple levels of seniority Create exciting and additive intellectual capital through thought leadership, knowledge share, and PR opportunities Be able to successfully manage at a minimum $1.5M in revenue and originate $800K of new revenue. Account Management & Client Delivery

Act as day to day leadership for client projects and aspects of client relationships and commercial processes within those relationships Lead successful teams and provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members Manage team resources to ensure delivery is provided on time Apply strategic and critical thinking to develop recommendations that address client challenges Lead and manage complex programs and firm building activities Governance

Be an integral member of Business Unit/Line leadership Provide long-term guidance and advice to junior staff members Provide recommendations for the direction of the Business Unit/Line Be an active member of firmwide initiatives and activities that cultivate the firm on a broader level Work collaboratively with firm support staff to accomplish goals of the practice Be a key interviewer and active participant in recruitment activities for the firm

Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of management consulting experience total with 3 years of team management and business development / sales origination experience within the management consulting setting Growth focused sales professional with proven track record of exceeding personal revenue goals through exceptional client delivery Desire to build an opportunity with an organization that fosters their entrepreneurial spirit Proven track record of originating sales pursuits and closing sales, creating solutions to complex business programs, operational excellence, and strong understanding of consultative sales approach Drive profitability and position for continued growth and expansion Ability to drive relationships within C-Suite and other senior executives to understand their organizational needs and recommend solutions that add value to their business Team player with outstanding interpersonal and demonstrated leadership skills Bachelor’s degree required in business or related field, advanced degrees welcome Able to travel up to 30% (post-COVID) Master’s Degree or PhD required. Degree should be in applicable field: computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning At least 12 years experience within a consultancy company Relevant experience providing data science and advanced analytics solutions Proven track record in selling data science solutions to various industries Ability to build, manage and foster a team-oriented environment and to mentor team members Excellent communication and presentation skills Dynamic and able to achieve results with an entrepreneurial mindset Additional information

New York compensation for this role is between $165,000 to $325,000 per year. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and market location

Hybrid Workplace Guidelines

Sia Partners maintains its hybrid workplace arrangements and provides a flexible workplace environment that is driven by client and business/market needs. While our firm does support hybrid work, there are times that we may require our consultants to work onsite at one of our Sia offices or a client office full-time. Consultants are expected to have the ability to be flexible with work location depending upon business needs. When in-between client engagements, Consultants typically work onsite at a local Sia office 2+ times per week.
