About the job


As a Sales Strategy Lead, you will be a part of the larger Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy and Operations organization. You will partner with our Google Cloud sales organization to develop go-to-market strategies, provide business insights and analytics, ensure cross-functional alignment of goals, and help teams drive strategic partnerships and initiatives forward.



You will collaborate with Product, Solutions, Regional Sales teams, and others to drive the global GTM strategy for Google Cloud’s Compute business (e.g. Google Compute Engine). You will develop innovative GTM plans and influence other teams and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities


  • Provide market intelligence (e.g., field input, customer needs, market data, etc.) to inform the GTM strategy for Google Cloud’s Compute and Infrastructure business.
  • Deliver sales insights to product leadership teams on a regular basis (e.g., analysis of successes, opportunities, industry dynamics, and technical challenges from the field).
  • Define the GTM strategy for product launches. Identify and design sales plans, accelerating Google Cloud’s Compute and Infrastructure business growth.
  • Drive engagement across GTM teams (e.g., Marketing, Solutions, Support, Partners, etc.) to achieve goals for launches and sales programs.
  • Develop sales plans with Product Management and Solutions Engineering teams.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in planning, consulting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or a related function.


Preferred qualifications:


  • MBA.
  • Experience in the compute infrastructure and/or cloud computing business.
  • Experience partnering with technical sales and product management teams in a business-to-business focused industry.
  • Experience in a sales, strategy, marketing, and/or business development role.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies, trends, and market dynamics.
  • Analytical skills, with excellent business judgment and ability to influence senior leadership with data-driven insights.
