Job Family: Research, Client Advisory and Consulting Services, Personal and Celent Brand Promotion
Description:
Celent is a division of Oliver Wyman, and one of the world’s leading financial services technology research and advisory firms. For over 20 years, Celent has helped senior executives make confident decisions around their technology strategies to execute at scale. We offer objective advice and clarity, backed by a database of thousands of solutions and award-winning global best practice use cases. With real-life domain expertise, Celent also guides clients through the maze of emerging tech in the pursuit of value.
Our clients are a mix of the world's top financial institutions, technology solutions providers, consulting firms, and private equity firms spread over 30 countries.
The Role and Responsibilities:
We are looking for an energetic and ambitious individual to join the fast-growing Retail Banking team as a Senior Analyst. The team develops the research agenda, produces proprietary content and thought leadership, and provides advice to business and technology executives at retail banks, as well as the technology companies that support them.
You will be a key contributor to driving growth of the Retail Banking practice and will have the opportunity to bring your creative ideas. The role entails developing and delivering research, client advisory and consulting services, as well as active interest in promoting personal and Celent brand.
Research: Conduct leading-edge research and publish insightful content focused on technology trends and implications for retail banking. This includes monitoring key market trends, analyzing best practices in how banks deploy various technologies, understanding how emerging technologies can deliver strategic advantage, and profiling technology solutions to help our clients navigate a complex technology landscape. You will build that knowledge by conducting primary and secondary research, including market interviews, surveys, and briefings.
Client Advisory and Consulting Services: Work directly with our clients to address specific strategic issues where technology has a significant impact. This includes regular discussions and interactions with Celent research clients, as well as short, high-impact strategy consulting engagements, such as technology strategy workshops, solution due diligence, market entry/expansion strategy, or bespoke primary research.
Personal and Celent Brand Promotion: Develop a high personal profile and strengthen the company brand in your domain of expertise. This includes preparing and delivering engaging thought leadership presentations, such as client webinars and public speaking at conferences and industry events.
Your Attributes and Experience:
We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for understanding the business value of technology across the retail banking sector. In addition, we seek a person with a keen interest in how the segment and technology-led innovations will evolve over the next few years and beyond while maintaining a grounded and pragmatic perspective on what’s possible.
The candidate should enjoy research, especially interview-based research, and writing. The person should be comfortable with and capable of building trusted relationships with clients who are often senior executives.
