With more than 15 years of restructuring experience, Mr. Arshad has worked across a variety of roles. His notable assignments include supporting shareholders of the largest contractor in the ME by assessing their strategic options in light of significant losses and requests by management for additional capital; undertaking a financial and operational review of a listed Makkah hotel group that had significant underperformance issues; and supporting a 1.5 billion euros global leading contractor, implementing the turnaround and restructuring of the ME business, operating across three jurisdictions. Additionally, Mr. Arshad assisted in managing the wind down of a ME construction business, whose overseas holding company was in an insolvency process; developed a cost optimization and implementation plan for a KSA based trading group that wanted to maintain profitability as it faced significant cost pressure; and advised a U.S. based shareholder of a KSA company on how to finance and manage an efficient wind down exit from its non-core KSA market.

Prior to moving to Riyadh, Mr. Arshad worked in the U.K. Roles undertaken there included managing the operations and funding requirements of three trading entities within a U.K. steel group, conducting a successful sales process on behalf of shareholders and lenders; advising a lender on the level of supportable debt and pricing for a large industrial group that wished to refinance a significant amount of debt amidst difficult trading conditions; and reviewing a five-year financial forecast that was to be used in support of a debt refinancing exercise with a group of lenders for the management of a U.K. asset manager.

Mr. Arshad earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Strathclyde University and is qualified as an accountant in Scotland.
