“I like the diversity of consulting and being part of initiatives that shape companies’ futures. I enjoy the relationship building and the continuous learning you get from working with clients on their most important issues.”
The part of consulting that Hentus Honiball enjoys most is the long-lasting relationships that he is able to create.
“I started my career as a junior engineer in an industrial fastener manufacturing plant,” Hentus says. “My mentor and plant engineer at the time told me, ‘To be successful you need to find the good in every person you meet, make the good your own and you will be fine.’”
Hentus Honiball is a partner in Kearney’s Africa and Middle East unit. He works with clients on strategy and operations projects, including strategy formulation, execution strategies, enterprise architecture, demutualization, banking license applications, operating model enablement, and transformation.
Hentus’s experience spans the Middle East and Africa, including work with clients in UAE, Jordan, Kuwait, and Egypt. He worked with African banks in Kenya, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Swaziland, focusing on strategy, operations, compliance, and IT.
His extensive financial services experience includes banking license applications, the creation of new banks, and bank acquisitions. His transformational experience in the industry includes business models, operating models, governance structures, compliance, finance, back office processing, and ERP systems.
“We always look through the lens of sustainability in everything we do,” Hentus says. “Our clients benefit both at the corporate and individual levels.”
