Bio

Gaurang is a partner in McKinsey’s Dubai office and a member of our Electric Power & Natural Gas Practice. He supports energy providers, oil and gas companies, and metals and mining organizations with challenges in manufacturing operations, procurement and capital productivity, strategy, and growth. Examples of Gaurang’s recent projects include the following: - Advising one of the leading energy companies in the Gulf Cooperation Council on a digital and advanced analytics transformation that generated bottom-line impact of more than five percent - Helping a power company to develop and negotiate a large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction contract that led to savings of $1.4 billion - Supporting a government-affiliated entity in formulating its strategy for the renewables sector - Serving a leading oil and gas company in the development of a localization strategy for $10 billion of oilfield spending Before joining McKinsey, Gaurang was a field services manager with Schlumberger Drilling and Measurements. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay.
