Alessandro Borgogna is a Partner with Strategy& and a member of the firm’s Industrial Manufacturing and Automotive team in the Middle East. He specializes in the aviation, aerospace, defense, infrastructure, and construction sectors. His functional experience includes strategy and business planning, business process design and performance improvement, organization design, financial and PPP planning, and technology innovation. In addition to his client work, he has co-authored studies including: - A critical new capability for GCC militaries: Airworthiness authorities - Natural partners: How airports and airlines can jointly boost revenues, lower costs, and improve the customer experience - Connecting with the customer: How airlines must adapt their distribution business model - Mastering construction costs and capabilities: Laying the foundations for success - Redesigning offsets for the 21st century: How to make offsets successful Prior to joining Strategy&, Alessandro held several senior management positions (including head of technical operations, chief engineer, and head of risk assessment) at the Italian Air Transport Wing, whose 1500 employees and 40 aircraft operated in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the U.S. He also served on the advisory board of the Global Aerospace Summit. Alessandro holds a university degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Naples Federico II in Italy; and an MBA in finance and business development from SDA Bocconi School of Management in Italy and UCLA Anderson School of Management in the U.S.
