Bilal Mikati is a Partner with Strategy& and a member of the firm’s Family Business, Investments, and Real Estate practice. Having joined the firm in 2007, Bilal has more than 12 years of consulting experience covering a broad set of assignments across the Middle East. Bilal focuses on advising sovereign wealth funds, real estate developers, and family/investment holdings on a broad range of topics including real estate development, investment strategy, operating model design, asset management, and transaction support. Most recently, he has led client assignments in: - Designing the concept and feasibility for multiple billion-dollar real estate projects, encompassing new urban development projects, tourism destinations, and housing communities - Developing the mandate, investment strategy, and operating model, and enabling regulatory framework, for a newly formed MENA sovereign fund - Defining a portfolio monetization strategy for a multibillion-dollar real estate portfolio for a leading regional sovereign wealth fund - Transforming a listed investment holding company, covering strategic portfolio rationalization, operating model redesign, and investment strategy definition Bilal holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree in computer and communications engineering from the American University of Beirut.
