Hani Zein is a Partner with Strategy& and a member of the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications practice in the Middle East. Hani specializes in helping clients develop distinctive digital and technology capabilities. He advises telecom operators, technology service providers, and government authorities on strategy and large-scale transformations. He has worked extensively on a broad range of topics across the Middle East and Asia. The functional focus of his work in recent years has been on strategic planning, technology operating models, digital transformation programs, business-to-business operations, and customer experience management. In addition to client work, Hani has authored reports on technology and customer experience topics including, “How ICT service providers can turn pandemic threats into opportunities,” “IT and network integration in telecom companies: Creating efficiency and customer satisfaction,” “Data-driven customer management for telecom operators,” and “Getting a return on 5G.” Hani joined Strategy& in 2011. Prior to that, he worked for several regional and international technology service providers, including Dar al Handasah and Nokia, where he served most telecom operators in the Middle East and advised on technology planning and customer experience topics. He pursued graduate studies in engineering management and holds a computer and communications engineering degree from the American University of Beirut.
