Paolo Pigorini is a Partner with Strategy& and a member of the firm’s Government and Public Sector practice in the Middle East. Paolo has more than 25 years of strategic consulting experience across Strategy& offices in Milan, London, Paris, Rio de Janero, and Zurich, including several institutional roles such as the leadership of the consulting practice for Strategy& in South America. Paolo has served private and public entities across a number of sectors including energy and resources, telecoms and media, and industrials. He has a broad range of functional competencies including board governance, transformation and change programs, organizational functioning effectiveness, and structural performance improvement. Some of his recent client assignments include: - Governance design for the set up of a strategic regional entity in the Middle East - Business model review and capability buildup for a media conglomerate - Structural performance improvement program for a leading oil and gas multinational - Review of the SG&A functions and their location in country, clusters, and corporate for a leading industrials multinational in Latin America - Organizational model review and cultural change program for a leading telecom player - Organizational and leadership alignment with strategy for a process industry multinational Paolo is an avid thought leader and has published a number of papers including “Managing the Global Enterprise in today’s Multipolar World,” “The Role of the Board of Directors in Managing Strategic Risks,” and “Zero-based organization: A fresh start in challenging times.” Paolo earned his Bachelor of Science in economics from London School of Economics and his MBA from Wharton. He is fluent in Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
