Samer Renno is a Managing Director with Teneo, based in Riyadh. He is a senior international strategic communication practitioner, with over 25 years of experience. Samer recently served as an independent consultant in the role of Executive Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) for a global public relations firm with headquarters in New York. Prior to his recent remit, Samer had founded and managed a strategic communication and public affairs firm in the MENA region for over 18 years. The agency achieved steady growth and successfully developed a strong reputation in the region as a one-stop-shop for strategic and innovative communication services. His interest in technology paved the way for the successful management of numerous tech giants’ accounts and his entry into the tech startup ecosystem. Over the past five years, Samer expanded his reach as a seasoned consultant to the Saudi Arabian market, where he led consulting teams in providing strategic communications and public affairs services for the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Center (IMCTC), Military Industry Corp (MIC), Saudia Airlines, NEOM Resettlement Project and NEOM CSR and Public Affairs department. His recent work centered on supporting government-led change management and transformation programs with strategic communication, public affairs, public policy, outreach strategies, crisis & risk management, internal communication, digital media and the transfer and training of senior executives. Samer started his career in the early 1990s as a journalist, writing business, finance and new technology stories.
