  The opportunity

Architecting transformation for our clients is at the heart solving the most complex problems in banking from front to back across our clients’ organisations. Those problems and opportunities span operating model, technology and process changes and our strength as a firm is to bring the range of our skills and capabilities from across our firm. Our Managers in Banking Transformation focus on operationalisation of strategy, purpose and customer experience through transforming business architecture, informing the implementation of new technology and improving cost effectiveness and efficiency. These are pivotal roles at the heart of our business The work we do is big. Big in scale, big in goal and big in impact. As a Manager you will draw from your breadth of skills and experience to help clients transform their businesses. You will help manage multi-disciplinary teams to collectively solve some of the toughest problems for the biggest brands.   

Role description

  • Working with Directors and Senior Managers across a range of disciplines. Delivering high quality results on business transformation opportunities and identifying new opportunities to support our clients with their transformation agendas
  • Draw on your knowledge and experience to create innovative solutions, adapting methods and practices to consistently drive high-quality outcomes for our clients
  • Develop and deliver the business architecture for our clients
  • Contribute to the development of our approach to all core aspects of Transformation Architecture including customer-centric front to back transformation, business architecture and cost transformation • With guidance from Partners and Directors, you will identify and pursue business opportunities, taking ownership on proposals, creating tailored propositions and taking them successfully to clients
  • Help manage our diverse teams to support their development, career aspirations and wellbeing as they share their career journeys with us at EY

 

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience in business architecture, operating model design, process design and cost reduction
  • Experience in technology enabled transformation
  • Deep Banking (Retail and / or Commercial) experience ideally with a focus on digitisation of lending across the value chain
  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Experience in managing teams and managing complex project delivery
  • Ability to help structure and manage complex work streams and/or entire engagements
  • Ability to build effective, long-lasting relationships with clients
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in delivering architecture for business transformation including for instance business architecture and operating model design through to detailed operational design, transition design and design implementation oversight
  • Strong affinity with core disciplines interfacing with Transformation Architecture including Agile and Design Thinking
  • Knowledge of core banking products including consumer or commercial lending
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with an ability to present robust, evidence based solutions to clients succinctly and creatively
  • Excellent innovation, problem-solving and structured thinking skills, able to generate insight and committed to delivering high-quality solutions
  • Possess an analytical and logical mindset, with an aptitude for identifying and articulating the reasoning behind your recommendations
  • Experience in working collaboratively across teams and business functions

 

Required Experience 

  • Extensive experience in managing a team, consulting, architecture or a comparable field, ideally 4+ years consulting experience
  • Deep knowledge of the Banking Sector
