ABOUT THE LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ROLE A core part of Dalberg's mission is to help build future leaders in the social impact sector and maximize the impact that they and Dalberg can have on the world. As part of this, Dalberg is looking to build a more robust learning and development function to design, coordinate and implement our global and regional training offerings. This function will be led by the Global Training Team in collaboration with regional and business-specific training teams and governance committees.

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager role in the Global Training Team will serve to launch and coordinate our training activity within the firm. The L&D Manager will work closely with the Global L&D Partner and initially work with and oversee an Operations Associate. Over time, a full-time content Associate will be added to the team to manage and build training content. The L&D Manager will be tasked with: overall roll-out of global trainings, including in-person and virtual training programs; setting the quality standard for training, including content and facilitation; managing a fit-for-purpose learning management system and communication channels to improve adoption of learning materials on demand; providing thought partnership and bringing to life strategic training priorities; as well as leading a small team to coordinate and produce effective training content that is highly relevant, up to date, and insightful for our people.

ABOUT YOU You have a natural curiosity about the world and especially around understanding how and why social impact happens when it does. You are a self-starter and problem solver who takes ownership mentality and identifies problems to solve and acts on what is needed to get results. You have proven ability to work across business functions, including excellent customer service and strong facilitation skills and are highly adept at managing stakeholders across all levels of seniority. You have a high level of comfort with and embrace technology and systems as a solution. You are fluent and have experience with training content generation, management, and systems as well as comfort working with communications, marketing and publications professionals. You are comfortable with ambiguity, like the space to work independently without too much regular, ongoing interference. You are a team player that knows how to build consensus and are willing to give and receive honest feedback, including supporting junior team members with their own growth and performance. You are open to travel during the role, notably 6-8 times per year, to execute our in-person trainings. SPECIFIC SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

You have 5+ years of work experience with steadily increasing responsibility; at least two years in a client services environment (ideally in strategy or operations consulting, but relevant experience with finance, IT, or legal services would be valuable). You bring Human Resources experience (Talent Management, Learning and Training, Professional Development) with 2+ years of managerial experience (people or program/project management), including strong coaching and training skills to support others’ learning, performance, and growth: Preferable to have a degree in human resources, psychology, education, or other relevant field from a top university, but not necessary. You have experience regularly executing in-person and virtual training workshops, bring expertise in instructional design or are an L&D specialist: Preferable to have experience in creating competency-based training plans and content across functions. You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including demonstrated ability to synthesize large amounts of information and ability to adapt messages for different audiences: Fluency in French or Spanish is a plus. You are comfortable with managing complex global operations processes and getting things done efficiently while still treating people with humility and respect. You bring strong research and quantitative skills including mastery of Microsoft Suite and preferably familiarity with managing LMS software. Note: Employment in all the Dalberg offices is conditional on the candidate having or obtaining the requisite authorization to live and work in that country.
