Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

With your analytics and financial acuity, you'll liaise between the Finance team with the functional areas it supports. You resolve issues related to forecasting, planning, resource prioritization and business profitability, and you help translate analyses into easy-to-understand presentations.


The Fitbit Finance team is a highly analytical, global team, dedicated to enabling our Devices and Services business to grow by helping the business make better decisions. Our work covers everything from developing the frameworks and success metrics to evaluate key investments, to driving strategic analyses, to working cross-functionally and cross-Finance to develop long-term business outlooks. The Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to senior leadership, and is integral to the operations and strategy of Fitbit as part of Google.


As a Finance leader supporting the Fitbit business, you will provide financial, operational, and strategic support to Fitbit’s Engineering leadership. You will partner with both Hardware and Software engineering teams to help drive financially sound decisions. As you oversee Fitbit’s R&D Spend, you will gain visibility into the product development process. You will be in a position to influence decision making on investment strategies for products and optimal resource allocation.

Fitbit’s diverse line of innovative products of smartwatches, trackers and smart scale help people lead healthier, more active lives by empowering them with data, inspiration and guidance to reach their health and fitness goals. Our products deliver personalized experiences, insights and guidance through leading software and interactive tools to support our users’ health and wellness. Partnering with Google will expand our resources and global platform, and we will be able to accelerate innovation in the wearables category to scale faster, and make health even more accessible to everyone.

Responsibilities


  • Own the forecasts, financial models, and annual planning for Fitbit Engineering Hardware and Software OpEx budgets.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis to finance and business partners.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, develop consistent reporting metrics and make recommendations for enhancement.
  • Oversee month end close accrual process.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis exposing data for decision making. Identify and implement metrics to measure business results and efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, consulting or similar.


Preferred qualifications:


  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; comfort and experience with regularly presenting to senior management
  • Proven financial planning, budgeting and forecasting experience within the Hardware space.
  • Financial systems and business application knowledge (SAP, Anaplan, BI, etc.). SQL experience
  • Demonstrated job stability with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills along with the ability to understand the trends in data, build forecasts, develop insights and turn them into strategies with high impact
